Over the years Humour Me has raised close to $20 million for some incredible groups, including Baycrest, Blessings in a Backpack, CAMH, Covenant House, Dixon Hall, Eva’s Initiatives, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Saint Raphael’s Palliative Care Home and Day Centre, Shriners Hospitals for Children – Canada, SickKids, Sinai Health Foundation, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Trails Youth Initiatives
In 2023 the proceeds of Humour Me support research at Holland Bloorview, leading to discoveries that can transform disability care and improve the lives of children and youth with disabilities.
Featuring Amateur Comedians from the Business World
Led by founder and CEO David Goodman, Humour Me invites high-profile business professionals to perform a short stand-up routine in front of a live audience. Contestants compete to be recognized as the “Funniest Amateur” of the evening. After intense coaching by seasoned local comedians these movers and shakers are judged on-stage by a panel of industry experts, both by their humour and how much money they raise for the charity.
And Notable Professional Comedians
Following the comedy challenge, the headliner takes the stage for the second half of the show. This year Brian Regan topped the bill. In previous years, Paul Reiser, Gerry Dee, Tig Notaro, Howie Mandel, Gary Gulman, Sebastian Maniscalco, Jerry Seinfeld, Dennis Miller, Dana Carvey and Jim Gaffigan headlined the evening.
